Lone Cove
Lone Cove
Lone cove is part of the protected forest-park of Zlatni Rt (Golden Cape) with one of the most visited beaches in Rovinj. The beach has been landscaped and scattered with pebbles and it attracts many bathers, especially families with children. Apart from the main beach, smaller rocky beaches can also be found for all those who like to enjoy their privacy. A few metres from the shore you can find shade under the thick century-old treetops, and at the beginning and in the centre of the cove there are snack bars, where you can always find something to eat and drink.
It is just a 15-minute walk to the centre of Rovinj.
The Kurent cove is the most visited cove in this part of the coast and is also pebbly.
Along with the benefits which the pebbles offer, another advantage of this beach is the old coniferous wood which will provide you with shade throughout the day. Close to the beach is a landscaped grassy area where you will be able to enrich your stay by the sea with various sports and games. In Kurent cove there is a snack bar which offers drinks, ice cream and sun lounger hire, plus there are also public changing rooms.
At the nearby quarry on Montauro Rt (Montauro Cape), which attracts fans of free climbing due to its large number of arranged routes and the wonderful view of the Rovinj archipelago, the beaches are not so attractive: the high and steep cliffs offer only a small number of possible entries to the sea.
